At Callicoon Hills we are committed to welcoming all travelers with a number of accessible rooms designed to accommodate those with unique needs
All of our Accessible Rooms include a roll-in shower or accessible tubs, accessible wash basins, accessible toilets, grab bars, roll-under sinks, in addition hearing accessible rooms with visual alarms, visual notification devices for entry door, and vibrating alarms are also available. All rooms are accompanied by braille and tactile signage. The public spaces on our property, including entrances, corridors, the lobby, Conover Club, Rise & Shine, and Pool are all wheelchair accessible. We offer a pool lift for pool access. Handicap parking is readily available for those who need it. During check-in, you'll notice that a portion of our front desk has section at a lower height to accommodate different needs. For those who are blind, have low vision, or need assistance with reading printed or visual information, our staff will gladly assist.
We welcome all canine companions, especially guide dogs and service animals.
Accessible Rooms
The accessible Pool House Queen Room has all the same charms and amenities, including plush bedding and air conditioning, but comes with the added ease of dedicated parking in front of the Pool House in addition to your dog-friendly first-floor room. Resort Accessibility
From the accessible parking area to the Main Lobby: there is a dedicated pathway, free of obstructions to the front entrance. The Front Desk is 35 feet from the main entrance, traveling over both non-fixed carpets, walk-off mats, and a hard-polished wood surface. There is a wheelchair-accessible lowered counter at the front desk and an accessible bathroom in the lobby.
The Pool House Accessible Guestrooms are accessible from the parking lot located off of Gulf Road. Handicap parking is readily available in the Pool House parking lot. Guestrooms are accessible via a path to the left of the accessible space(s) that lead to a double door. Four accessible guestrooms are located on the ground floor of the Pool House.
Located in the lobby of the Boarding House. Follow the dedicated pathway, free of obstructions to the front entrance. Walk through the double glass doors and through the red doorway with the white sign reading “Check-In.” Through the door you will find Rise & Shine Coffee Shop to the left.
From the lobby there is a white bathroom hallway located to the left when facing the open-face refrigerator. Follow the hallway towards a white door. Through the door is a ramp that will lead you into the restaurant. There is an accessible bathroom in the lobby.
From the Pool House parking lot off of Gulf Road, park in one of the accessible parking spaces. To the left of the spaces there is a paved path leading towards the back of the Barding House patio and one of our many communal fire pits.
From the dedicated accessible parking spaces in The Pool House Parking follow the paved path to the left of the building circling around the back side of The Pool House. At the end of the path there is a wood fence leading to the pool. There is a pool lift for pool access.
